Harlow Athletic Club
Harlow Athletic Club is an all-inclusive, family orientated club catering for a broad spectrum of track and field athletics,
cross country, road and trail running. Whether you’re a newcomer, youngster, veteran, or finely tuned athlete Harlow Athletic Club is the perfect place for you to improve your athletic ability or to just keep fit in a friendly, sociable environment.
Training Times
New athletes are welcome from the age of eight years old, we are based at Mark Hall Sports Centre and train on Mondays (all-ability sport 5:30 pm till 7:30 pm), Tuesdays 6:30 pm till 8:00 pm on track and until 9 pm for older groups and Thursdays 6:30 pm till 9:00pm evenings.
Volunteers
Our club is run entirely by qualified and experienced volunteers from the local community, who give up their free time to promote athletics for young people starting from 8 years old, from Harlow and the surrounding areas.
Accessibility
We are very proud of our club, which boasts international athletes such as Olympian Andrew Osagie, wheelchair athlete Richard Chiassaro who is currently ranked UK no1 in a variety of T54 wheelchair events, Naomi Harryman who has represented U17 England at triple jump internationally, and Shemar Boldiszar, the current U23 European 200m Champion. However, our club is not just about elite athletes, it is a welcoming, friendly environment that provides a sporting platform
for athletes of all abilities.
Senior Team
The club competes in the Southern Athletic League, SAL, and juniors compete in Open competitions.
Volunteers
Not an athlete but would like to become involved? Why not become one of our volunteers? Volunteers make a huge difference to our club you could become an assistant coach helping out at our training sessions, a parent volunteer helping with the running of the admin of the club on training nights or an official helping out at our competitions.
